MVPS
is currently seeking
new members who can help us meet our objectives. We
are currently in search of the following...
Skeptics-
We are seeking individuals to fill the position of
Skeptical Advisers. Skeptical Advisers will be
responsible for establishing protocol that will help
us meet our objective of bridging the gap between
our organization and the main-stream scientific and
organized skeptical communities.
Advisors will also be responsible for attending
investigations to observe the collection of data
and/or potential evidence to ensure that MVPS
Investigators are not creating or misinterpreting
phenomena.
.
Tech Manager-
With the recent promotion of our Tech Manager to the
position of Investigation Manager, we are currently
seeking an individual to fill this position.
This person will be responsible for the set-up and
operation of team equipment, and to ensure that
equipment is in good working order before, during,
and after the investigation.
Will also be responsible for consolidation of all
data and images at the end of the investigation.
When not engaged in Tech Manager duties, the Tech
Manager will act as a General Investigator for the
collection of data and documentation of potential
phenomena.
General Investigators-
We are currently looking for investigators to join
our team. Experience as a paranormal investigator is
not a prerequisite. All investigators must have a
willingness to discount certain pre-described
phenomena as evidence of the paranormal despite
their own personal beliefs, as well as follow the
protocol prescribed by the founder and lead
investigators of MVPS.
All potential members must be passionate about
investigating the paranormal and must be
realistically able to make themselves available for
occasional weekend investigations with short notice
given.
We realize that this will not always be possible and
we will be glad to work around peoples family lives
when possible, but repeated no-shows, "I don't
know's", or displays of lack of interest will result
in us giving priority and preference to other
investigators.
We want people who can dedicate themselves to the
team. Party Animals should not apply. We ask that
all investigators supply themselves with at least a
digital voice recorder with a USB port and an Omni-directional
microphone for the potential documentation of any
audible audio phenomena on the investigation site.
MVPS
does not recognize
such phenomena as orbs, mists, ectoplasm, ribbon
energy, psychic intuition, or personal experiences
as evidence of the paranormal
MVPS does not consider
psychics, mediums, Ouija boards, table tilting,
divining rods or other metaphysical tools as methods
of collecting evidence, nor do we allow them to be
used during our investigations. Attempting to prove
one phenomenon with another unproven phenomenon is
pointless and would discredit us as an organization.
MVPS
is often limited
on the number of people who can investigate a
location due to the size and scope of the
investigation as well as limitations prescribed to
us by the client. Investigators will be chosen for
each particular investigation as they best suit the
needs of the investigation. All effort will be made
to keep everyone in a good rotation to ensure
everyone gets time out in the field.
Once again...Be safe.
Each member should make every effort to provide for
their own safety. All members will enter into the
organization with an understanding that
investigating the paranormal comes with a high level
of risk due to unforeseen hazards that litter
investigation sites. Many investigations will be
done in darkness or un-kept structures that contain
elements that increase the likelihood of an injury.
All members will be responsible for their own
safety, and in the event of an injury, are
responsible for their own health-care, recovery, and
loss of income.
